QUALIFICATION
Adib
Danial bin Abdul Malik has graduated with a Bachelor of Law (Hons.) LL.B from
International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 2015. In 2016, he was
called to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of
Malaya. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Syariah and Practice (DLSA)
from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in 2017.
EXPERIENCE
Adib
Danial bin Abdul Malik graduated with Bachelor of Law (Hons.) LL.B from International
Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 2015. He later joined Messrs Bhadarul
Baharain & Partners, Kuala Lumpur as Paralegal before commenced his
pupillage for nine months in the chamber of Mr.
Karamjit Singh A/L Harbahajan Singh at the same
firm. During his pupillage, he gained exposure in general litigation, banking
litigation, construction dispute, land matters, commercial and corporate
matters, and also conveyancing. He also has been given the trust by the
partners to assist in complex litigation matters involving high profile clients
and also state body.
After
he was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2016, he further his study in Post
Graduate Diploma in Syariah and Practice (DLSA) in Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).
In
2017, he was offered the position of Legal Officer in Attorney General Chambers
of Malaysia. His first posting was as a Federal Counsel in Civil Division,
Putrajaya where due to his extensive knowledge in the enforcement of judgment
proceedings and bankruptcy matters, he was assigned to the Execution and
Enforcement Unit. His main expertise here is the recovery of the costs, damages
or debt arises from the judgment given in favor of the Government and also to defends
the Government as a taxing party in taxation proceedings where costs are to be
recovered against the Government. Other than the assigned task, he also has assisted
Senior Officer from other unit in high profile case involving public figures
with multimillion claim.
In
2018, he was offered the position of Assistant Director of Malaysian Department
of Insolvency, Kuala Lumpur (MdIKL) where he was entrusted to head the
Bankruptcy Unit. He was responsible in ensuring the smoothness of the operation
of the unit and its components and also to attend to the legal problems faced
by the bankrupts and the stakeholders. On daily basis, he dealt with matters
involving but not limited to the discharge of a bankrupt, application for sanction
to initiate legal proceedings, application to leave country, application to
work or incorporate a company, application to open or activate a bank account, proof
of debt, assets discovery, payment of dividend to the creditors and also
creditors meeting. He also responsible to initiate actions on behalf and also
to defends the department in legal suits. Together with the Director of MdIKL,
he had successfully defended the department in two appeal proceedings involving
bankruptcy matters in the Court of Appeal of Malaysia.
In
2019, he had joined Messrs Faiz Hasan & Co. as a partner where he dealt
extensively in civil litigation, debt recovery, running down matters, administration
of estate, conveyancing, individual and corporate joint ventures together with
other corporate matters. His client ranging from individuals to the well-known
corporation with multimillion capital.
Effective from 19th June 2020, he is one of
the founding partners of Messrs Faiz, Adib, Asyraff & Izzuddin (formerly
known as Messrs Faiz Hasan & Co.) which is based in Puchong, Selangor.
