QUALIFICATION

Adib Danial bin Abdul Malik graduated with Bachelor of Law (Hons.) LL.B from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 2015. In 2016, he was called to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. He further pursued his studies and obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Syariah and Practice (DLSA) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in 2017.

EXPERIENCE

Adib Danial commenced his legal career as a Paralegal at Messrs Bhadarul Baharain & Partners, Kuala Lumpur, before undertaking his pupillage for nine months under the supervision of Mr. Karamjit Singh A/L Harbahajan Singh at the same firm. During his pupillage, he gained broad exposure in general litigation, banking litigation, construction disputes, land matters, commercial and corporate matters, as well as conveyancing. He was also entrusted by the partners to assist in complex litigation matters involving high-profile clients and state bodies.

Following his admission to the Bar, he was appointed as Legal Officer at the Attorney General's Chambers of Malaysia, serving within the Insolvency Department (MdIKL). In this capacity, he regularly handled matters relating to the discharge of bankrupts, applications for sanction to initiate legal proceedings, proof of debt proceedings, assets discovery, payment of dividends to creditors, and creditors' meetings. He was further entrusted to initiate legal actions on behalf of the department and to defend the department in legal suits. Notably, together with the Director of MdIKL, he successfully represented the department in two appeal proceedings before the Court of Appeal of Malaysia involving complex bankruptcy matters.

In 2019, he joined Messrs Faiz Hasan & Co. where he expanded his practice in civil litigation, debt recovery, running down matters, administration of estates, conveyancing, and corporate matters, serving a diverse clientele ranging from individuals to corporations of significant capital.

Currently serving as Senior Associate at Messrs Faiz & Izzuddin, Puchong, Selangor, Adib Danial has developed a dedicated focus in the administration of estates, encompassing both civil and Islamic estate matters. His practice spans Grant of Probate and Letters of Administration proceedings before the High Court of Malaya under the Probate and Administration Act 1959, as well as applications for the distribution of small estates before the Land Administrator pursuant to the Small Estates (Distribution) Act 1955. He has handled a wide variety of estate matters involving landed properties, financial assets, vehicles, and business interests, representing administrators, beneficiaries, and applicants across different stages of estate proceedings.
