How much are the legal fees for buying a house?

What is MOT and stamp duty?

Do I need my own lawyer when buying from a developer?
If you buy directly from a developer, the developer usually appoints and provides the panel lawyer to handle the SPA, so you do not need to engage a separate lawyer for that purchase. For subsale or private transactions, you should appoint your own solicitor.
