Criminal Defence

FAAIZ Law defends individuals facing criminal charges and protects their rights at every stage of the criminal justice process. Being investigated or charged with an offence is a stressful experience, and our role is to provide steady, robust representation and to ensure that our clients are treated fairly under the law.

We act for clients from the earliest stage, including police investigations, arrest, remand applications and bail. Early legal advice can make a significant difference, and we move quickly to safeguard our clients' position and to advise them on how to respond during the investigation.

Our criminal practice covers a broad range of offences before the Magistrates' Court, Sessions Court and High Court. We prepare each case carefully, scrutinise the prosecution's evidence, advise on plea and strategy, and conduct the defence at trial, as well as advising on appeals where a conviction or sentence is to be challenged.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have been arrested. What are my rights?
You have the right to remain silent and to consult a lawyer. Contact us as early as possible, ideally before giving any statement.

Do I need a lawyer for a traffic summons?
For minor summonses you may not, but for serious offences, court cases or where you intend to dispute the charge, legal advice is recommended.

Can I get bail?
Bail depends on the offence. For many charges bail is available, and we can make the application on your behalf.

Should I give a statement to the police?
Speak to a lawyer first. What you say can be used in court, so it is important to understand your position before responding.
